Reasons to Visit a Cosmetic Dentist Office

Cosmetic DentistIf you do not like your smile, visit our cosmetic dentist office. We can transform your smile into something truly beautiful. Our aim is to help you keep your natural teeth for a lifetime, and an important part of that is to ensure you like how your teeth look. We have found that when our patients love their smile, they are more likely to practice good oral hygiene and take the steps necessary to protect it. Just like people are more likely to wash a new car, people are also more likely to brush sparkling teeth. With that in mind, we want to help you if you do not love your smile. If you have any of these issues, call us today:

Cracked or chipped teeth. If your teeth have become damaged, it is important to have them restored immediately. A chip or crack that remains exposed can provide space for bacteria to enter the tooth, leading to an infection. This can cause a toothache and make it necessary for you to get a root canal in addition to having the tooth restored. Fortunately, this does not have to be the case. We can restore the tooth using a dental crown, so it will remain healthy, function like normal, and look natural.

Sensitive teeth. As a cosmetic dentist, we can improve how your smile looks and also improve how it functions. If your teeth are sensitive, it could be due to erosion. In this case, you can use desensitizing toothpaste, or we can provide you with a more permanent solution. We can place crowns around your teeth or use an inlay to reduce sensitivity when the erosion is isolated to a specific area. During a consultation, we can determine which teeth need protecting and recommend the best procedure for doing so.

Dull smile. Time can turn a bright white smile into one that is stained, yellow, and dull. As a cosmetic dentist, this is something we can correct relatively easily. The best place to start is with a teeth whitening procedure. Our professional-grade solution can penetrate your enamel to start the process of oxidization. This is where the molecules inside of your teeth change to reflect less light and appear colorless. As they do, your teeth will become bright and white.

Gaps in between teeth. If you have one large gap or several small ones, you can fix them using orthodontics or cosmetic dentistry. Orthodontics is incredibly effective, and if you have multiple issues or a misaligned jaw, you should consider this. However, the treatment time can last from six months to two years, so if you only have a few gaps, this may not be worth it. In this case, we can close the gaps in one or two appointments using dental bonding, dental veneers, or dental crowns.

Crooked teeth. While a cosmetic dentistry solution will not change the actual position of your tooth, it can change how it appears. Using the same solutions we use to close gaps, we can also make teeth appear to be straighter.

To learn more about any of these procedures, call and schedule an appointment today.
